Jo Smith

NAFAS National Teacher

From my first experience of teaching a Christmas wreath workshop many years ago, I knew that teaching is my true passion.  From small beginnings I now teach Leisure Courses, Seasonal half or full day Workshops, Floristry, Horticulture and more recently the NAFAS Level 1 & 2 Certificates in Floral Art & Design as a qualified NAFAS Independent Tutor.  The NAFAS Courses are flexible and can work around other commitments.  I currently teach them in small groups and on a One 2 One basis.  Both Levels are suitable for complete beginners and the Level 2 is also suitable for people with experience who wish to gain a qualification; this can lead to becoming a NAFAS teacher or demonstrator, or to work as a commercial florist.

As a NAFAS National Teacher I teach workshops up and down the country and am a member of the North Midlands Area Teachers Association.  As such am involved in teaching, organising workshops and teaching events within the Area and at National events to help promote our wonderful and creative craft to a wider audience.
